Carolyn Stogner
June 2019
Carolyn Stogner was born in New Orleans, where her father started the Try Me Coffee Mills in the Ninth Ward in 1925.
She and her husband, L.B. Stogner, took it over until they retired in 2000. They passed the business down to her son, Bob Lutz, who uses the same roaster her father did when he opened it. She also was a secretary to a Catholic priest for nine years.
She has three adult grandchildren.
Ms. Stogner broke her leg and came to Stone County Nursing & Rehab for rehabilitation. She says she is glad she chose Stone County. The people have been great they are all nice and the food is good, she said.
