Beyond the White Coat: Dr. Michael Albert’s Dedication to Service and Compassionate Care

At Stone County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, we consider it a privilege to have Dr. Michael H. Albert as our Medical Director. With a wealth of knowledge and a profound commitment to his profession and community, Dr. Albert embodies the compassionate care reflected in our services.

Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Dr. Albert’s roots trace back to North Mississippi, where he was raised. He pursued higher education at The University of Mississippi, where he laid the foundation for his remarkable medical career. Following his graduation from the University of Mississippi Medical School in 1984 and completion of a three-year residency in family medicine, Dr. Albert embarked on a journey dedicated to serving others through his practice.

Professional Achievements

Dr. Albert has over 37 years of extensive experience as a medical professional specializing in gerontology and family practice. His unwavering commitment to staying up-to-date with industry advancements has earned him board certification in both specialties. As a result, he provides the highest standard of care for his patients and residents in both nursing homes and clinical settings.

Community Involvement

Dr. Albert’s passion for service extends beyond his practice. For example, he has generously shared his time and skills with multiple school boards and was a volunteer medical official for the Pearl High School Football Team. Driven by a deep sense of compassion, he also participates in overseas medical missions focusing on the people of Ukraine.

Personal Life

Although Dr. Albert is well-known for his community involvement and medical practice, he finds the greatest fulfillment as a husband and father. He is a proud resident of Brandon, Mississippi, where he and his wife of nearly 35 years, Sheri, raised their four daughters and has been an active member of Park Place Baptist Church for over three decades. As a loyal supporter of Ole Miss football, he rarely misses a game.

Dr. Albert’s tenured expertise and steadfast dedication ensure our residents receive high-quality compassionate care throughout their healing journey. He enriches the lives of those he serves and works with every day, and we are honored to call him a part of our Leakesville family.
